The rhythm guitarist for GCJ, Zapata became interested in music since he first saw Hendrix on Television and mimic him:

Influenced by the sounds of growing up in Texas he has cultivated an original style of playing Blues Rock. When performing he draws from different genres to make a musical rollercoaster ride from which the listener will walk away and say:

“i don’t know what that was but i love it!”
