U.S. Fans can experience the best performances from Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 in select cinemas on Tuesday, August 13 at 7:30pm across all time zones. Tickets for this special theatre screening go on sale July 12 from Fathom Events. Captured across two nights in April at Madison Square Garden, this year’s Crossroads Guitar Festival offered a variety of legendary guitarists – including Gary Clark Jr., Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, Vince Gill, Warren Haynes and Buddy Guy – performing a mix of sultry blues, classic rock and country jams. And, while Madison Square Garden is an epic arena, the concert remained intimate as Clapton and others performed some of the greatest hits of their careers.
Held to benefit Crossroads Centre, a drug treatment and education facility in Antigua founded by Clapton, each festival has become a jam session of the guitar legend’s closest friends and music’s biggest stars. Cinema audiences will also be treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage in this one night showing.
